Boichuk, Bohdan Vasyliovych

a professor, Ph.D. in Art Criticism, Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

He is a member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

He is a high achiever of education of Ukraine, awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

He was born January 28, 1959 in the village of Krylos, Halych district, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. He graduated from the College of Folk Arts and Crafts named after V. Kasian (1976) in the town of Kosiv and Ivan Fedorov Polygraphic Institute of Lviv, Department of Book Illustration (1986).

He started his career in a higher educational institution in 1987 as an assistant of the Department of Fine Arts, Drawing and Craft of Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute named after Vasyl Stefanyk. He has been holding the post of the Head of the Department of Fine Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University since 2005.

He earned the academic degree of the Ph.D. in Art Criticism for writing the thesis “Decorative arts of Pokuttya in XIX-XX cent.”, which he defended in 2000 at a meeting of the Specialized Academic Senate of the Lviv Academy of Arts.

He works in the field of art criticism, easel and monumental painting. His works are displayed in museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

He has participated in regional, national and international art exhibitions and plein air paintings since 1987. He is the author of three solo exhibitions. In 2005-2011 he organized more than twenty art exhibitions of the lecturers of the Department in several regions of Ukraine and abroad.

Hladkyi, Bohdan Stepanovych

a senior lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

He was born on June 15, 1962 in the town of Drohobych, Lviv oblast. In 1983 he graduated from Lviv School of Applied and Decorative Arts named after Ivan Trush. In June 1991 he studied at the Ukrainian Catholic University of St. Clement in Rome (Italy). In 1992 he graduated with honors from Lviv Academy of Arts, Department of Monumental-and-Decorative Sculpture.

He has been teaching Sculpture and Plastic Anatomy at the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration named after Mykhailo Fihol (Institute of Arts, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University) since 1997.

Kindrachuk, Volodymyr Bohdanovych

Kuzenko, Petro Yaroslavovych

a Ph.D. in Art Criticism, a member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society and the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

Kuzenko P.Ya. was born on March 14, 1973 in the town of Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. In 1995 he graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian University, specialty «Fine arts, drafting and artistic work». During 1995-1999 he was a post-graduate student at the same educational institution.

He worked in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Museum of Art and occupied the posts of a scientific employee and a head of the Decorative-and-Applied Arts Office.

He defended the thesis for the academic degree of the Ph.D. in Art Criticism, specialty «Theory and history of culture» in the State Academy of Government Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts (Kyiv, in 2005).

Since 2006 – an assistant, and since 2007 – an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration named after M. Fihol of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

He is engaged in research work in the field of art history and sacred culture of Ukraine. He is the author of over 50 scientific and educational works, including two study-guised and one textbook for students of educational institutions of the 4th level of accreditation, guidelines, study programs, introductions to catalogues of contemporary artists’ works, articles in professional art criticism editions.

From 2008 to 2015 he was a member of the Specialized Academic Senate for theses defense for the degree of a Ph.D. in Art Criticism at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Is now the deputy executive secretary of the Admission Board at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (2013).

Lukan, Volodymyr Hryhorovych

an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

He was born on March 26, 1961 in the town of Drohobych, Lviv oblast. He graduated from Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (now Lviv Academy of Arts) in 1984.

Since 1984 he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Graphics of the Institute of Pedagogy (now Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University). He was an assistant, a senior lecturer; now he is an assistant professor of the Department of Fine Arts named after M. Fihol.

He works in the sphere of icon-painting on glass, painting, graphics, design, applied-and-decorative arts, art criticism. He was a participant of international, all-Ukrainian and solo exhibitions.

The main exhibitions took place in 1995 – 2013 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Lutsk, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Drohobych, Stryi, Truskavets, Zbarazh, Mukachevo, Khust, Halych, Kolomyia, Kalush, Dolyna, Sniatyn, Nadvirna, Yaremcha, Krakow etc.

He is the author of monographs, study guides, booklets, catalogues, articles on theory and practice of art. He was pronounced the best scientist of 2006; he was awarded a badge and given a cash payment prize of the Oblast Council and the Oblast State Administration.

Melnychuk, Oksana Dmytrivna

a senior lecturer of the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

She is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2013.

She gained education at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (in 2001) and Lviv National Academy of Arts (in 2006).

In 2006 – 2008 – an assistant at the Department of Fine Arts (part-time employment);

In 2008 – 2013 – an assistant, and since 2013 – a senior lecturer at the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration named after M. Fihol.

Since 1999 she has been participating in regional, oblast, all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions (more than 40). The author of three solo exhibitions:„Colors and contexts” co-authored by Svitlana Khmil. Palace of arts of the museum „Drohobych land”. Drohobych 2011;„ Colors and contexts” co-authored by Svitlana Khmil. National Folk Museum of Hutsul lands and Pokuppya named after Y. Kobrynskyi. Kolomyia 2013;„Bunch of grapes”. She works in the field of icon-painting, painting and graphics. The author performs her works in watercolor techniques, oil and temper painting on glass and gesso. She has a philosophic approach to every work. Her manner of painting is uninhibited, emotional and built on vivid coloristic relations. Color enriches her works with festivity, majesty and ensures the powerful influence on an observer.

Her works are displayed in Ukrainian museums and private collections of many countries of the world.

Osadtsa, Marta Zynovyivna

a Ph.D. in Art Criticism, an assistant of the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

She is a member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine since 2015.

She was born on April 08, 1989 in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. In 2011 she graduated from the Faculty of Art  of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

During 2011-2015 she was a post-graduate student at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, specialty «Fine arts».

Since 2013 – an assistant at the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration named after M. Fihol of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. 

She defended the thesis for the academic degree of the Ph.D. in Art Criticism, specialty 17.00.05 – «Fine arts» in Lviv National Academy of  Arts (Lviv, in 2019).

She works in the sphere of easel painting, design, art criticism. She is a participant of regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions.

Prokopiv, Petro Mykytovych

an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (in 1988); a prize winner of Oblast Premium of Yaroslav Lukavetskyi in the sphere of Fine Arts and Architecture (2007).

He was born on January 18, 1947 in the village of Kaminne, Nadvirna district, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast.

He graduated from Lviv School of Applied Arts named after I. Trush (in 1964-1968), Department of Monumental-and-Decorative Painting; Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute named after V. Stefanyk (in 1986-1991), Faculty of Arts and Graphics.

Teachers: T. Maksysko, S. Prybytok, М. Fihol, S. Khyzhniak.

Awards: The 3rd prize – International Bookplate Contest «Skaudvile-92», Lithuania; Diploma – The 1st International Small Graphics Salon «Beiush-94», Romania; Bronze medal – World Bookplate Exhibition «Beijing-98», China; Diploma – International Small Graphics Exhibition «Guadalupe-99», Mexico; Prize winner of the 2nd All-Russian Bookplate Exhibition «Vologda-2007», Russia.

He works in the sphere of monumental-and-decorative art (mosaic, scratch-work, painting), easel painting and graphic.

Sandiuk, Volodymyr Serhiiovych

an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1999).

He is an Honored artist of Ukraine (2013).

He was born on April 23, 1970 in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. He graduated from the Technical School Folk Arts and Crafts named after V. Kasian in the town of Kosiv (in 1989, specialty «Woodworking Art») and Lviv Academy of Arts (in 1996, department of «Artistic modeling»).

Since  1996 – an assistant, since 2005 – a senior lecturer, since 2010 – an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration named after M. Fihol of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

He is the author and co-author about 20 scientific and learning-teaching works, in particular 4 study programs and guidelines for their fulfillment, articles in professional art criticism editions, booklets and catalogues of artists’ works.

He works in the field of fine arts, monumental and decorative-applied arts, book design. Since 1985 he has been a participant of oblast, regional, all-Ukrainian and international painting symposia, plein air paintings, competitions and exhibitions. He is the author of over 20 solo exhibitions.The management office of exhibitions of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine bought his works which are displayed in museums and private galleries of Ukraine and the world.

Sandiuk, Larysa Petrivna

an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts, Applied and Decorative Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

She was born on December 03, 1971 in the town of Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. She graduated from the Technical School Folk Arts and Crafts named after V. Kasian in the town of Kosiv (1990) and Lviv Academy of Arts (in 1996 р, department of «Artistic modeling». During 1996-1999 she worked as an artist, a fashion designer in the fur company «Tysmenytsia». From 2005 to 2010 she was a teacher of Fine Arts, Drafting and Art Culture of the First Private School-Kindergarten «Lastivka».

Since 2010 – an assistant of the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration named after M. Fihol of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

She works in the field of fine arts, decorative and applied arts, book design, fashion design. She is the author and co-author of more than 200 patents for industrial designs of fur and leather products.

For professional competence, fruitful inventive and innovative activity, significant contribution to the development of new technologies she was awarded the Diploma of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast State Administration and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Council (in 2012). She was awarded the Winner’s Certificate of «Galician intelligent people 2011» in the nomination «The best author of industrial designs» (2012) for creating exclusive and extravagant furs and unique collections as well as the author of 53 patents of Ukraine for industrial designs.

She constantly improves her skills of the artist-designer and the book illustrator. She is a member of specialized all-Ukrainian and international symposiums-competitions of designers – artists and various art and industry forums.

Khmil, Svitlana Bohdanivna

a senior lecturer of the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

She is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

She was born on June 22, 1970 in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. In 1995 she graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphics of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Since 2006 she has been working at the Department of Fine Arts named after M. Fihol of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Yakymenko, Mykola Bohdanovych

an associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts and Restoration of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University

He is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

He was born on May 09, 1963 in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. He graduated from Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (in 1986).

Since 2004 he has been teaching specialty disciplines at the Department of Fine Arts named after M. Fihol of the Institute of Arts of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
